What are micro-exercises?

Excessive prolonged sitting puts our muscles into largely dormant states for too many hours of the day, leading to cascading negative impacts on health.

Micro-exercises are convenient, one- to two-minute activities spread throughout the day for those who want to prevent or counter the health risks of a sedentary lifestyle. This bite-sized approach to physical activity makes small bouts of exercise achievable while still delivering substantial health and fitness benefits over time.

A daily routine typically includes four exercises, each containing four sets you can spread throughout the day. The goal is to stand up every 30 minutes to an hour to do a set and then return to work. If you do this, you should have finished your routine by the end of your work day.

1. Choose from 15 creative routines and do one set every 30 minutes right at your workstation. You'll conquer an entire plan by day's end!

2. This template includes over 40 exercises targeting your hips or core muscles using just body weight or basic objects like walls and bands. Are 40 exercises not enough? You can add your own too!

3. Use the Planner to schedule routines for your day, your week, or even the whole month.

4. Keep track of your progress throughout the day and see how consistent you are through time with the Log.

5. Filter your exercises by muscle groups and add more props and personalized routines if you need to!
